This past week has been great we got our investigator to Church he really liked it and he is now progressing and is on date to be baptize on May 31!!!!!!!! he was a member referral! very nice and solid guy, still havent been able to make a solid lesson with “T” family but will not give up, and our other new investigator is just about to progress and his parents that are both Lutheran are encouraging him to come to our church, saying that he might really like it!!!!!! not much else has happened this week. we watched a girl puke at the bus stop and it was NASTY!!!!!! got asked by kids if we knew actual magic 🙂 which we have the priesthood but not like harry potter magic! 🙂 had to drop a lot of our investigators and find some more because they dont progress or dont want to learn more, but we still have some super solid people we are teaching with great potential! it was great to see the family yesterday during Skype and now it is time to get back to work, thank you all my family and friends for your support and love, it really does help.
I really love my mission, baptisms would be awesome but I also enjoy helping the members and my comps, seeing others change is what matters the most, whether they are missionaries or members or investigators, it is all the same, they are all Gods children, thats why missions are here to serve Gods children, nowhere does it say that we are here for just non members, we participate in all areas, like Elder Holland said “The Atonement will carry the missionaries perhaps even more importantly than it will carry the investigators.” it is good and important to baptize but also like someone once said “if you dont baptize, at least be converted yourself” something like that, as members of this church our responsibility is to strengthen and uplift and love EVERYONE! love everyone! I love this work, because it teaches me how to love no matter what happens, I will never sacrifice like this for anything else. the Lord will bless us and those around us when we are obedient to him and keep his commandments, our faith will be strengthened and our testimonies will grow, just like the scripture John 7:17 “If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.” if we do what we are asked we will know it is true. President Choi always says “Today we obey, tomorrow we understand.” I testify that this is true and that if any of you want a stronger testimony or are struggling to know if what is taught in the church is true you must show your faith to allow Heavenly Father to help you by experiementing on the word like Alma teaches is Alma 32, we must do the commitments that we are given, just like an investigator must keep there commitments in order to get a confirmation if it is true. I know your faith and testimonies will grow to what you want it to be and even higher than you thought it could be, because Heavenly Fathers expectations are higher than our own. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.””For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9. with the lords expectations for us we must have his help in order to achieve his level of expectations, and that help comes by faith, repentance, baptism by immersion by proper authority, receiving the Holy Ghost by laying on of hands, and enduring to the end, and nourishing it continually, and continually submitting to the will of the lord, seeking him in pray, and study of scriptures, i promise you all miracles in your life if you will just trust in God and try your best to align you bar (will) with Gods bar (will, expectations). This is the true Church, and like Daniel states, will never leave the earth, and through the Atonement we can be healed! and become who we are destined to become, we will rest if we follow the restored gospel and keep our covenants! Eternal life is a gift we can all achieve.
