Called to serve in the Washington Seattle Mission July 2013-July 2015

New Year Resolutions

(5 January, 2015)
GOOOOOOOOOOOD Afternoon!!

Another report here from the Washington Seattle Mission, Elder Chadwick is on the air, here he is…..

Seattle is just the best place to serve a mission, everyone always says “my mission was the best” my mission was the hardest” but what we need to realize is that what someone else says is the hardest may not be hard for me, we are all different, i have been prepared for Seattle, and vise versa. so that means seattle mission is going to be the best and hardest place for me to go to, because it is where the Lord needs me to experience my trials. i love it here though the weather is rainy all the time, even though it rains and gets cold its really is a great sacrifice im glad to make πŸ™‚ i always wonder how Ammon and his brothers felt they served for 14 years!!!! can you believe that 14 years of FINDING TEACHING AND BAPTIZING!!!! i think i would love that!! being able to see the change in others. so i have been thinking of new year resolutions and for me mine is to work my hardest, to fully give the lord my all and fulfill everything the lord requires at my hands as a sacrifice and duty, to stay close to the spirit, and reach my highest high of the 2 years I will spend here in seattle,Β  i would encourage this new year for all of you to commit to follow the savior fully, and to find your own personal resolution πŸ™‚ the Lord will bless you as you look up to him and couragously follow him and his guidance. “come unto me in every thought doubt not fear not” D&C 6:36, one of my favorite book of mormon prophets is Nephi, i plan to have the same courage to be able to say “i will go and do the thing the lord commands, for i know the lord will provide a way…”1 Nephi 3:7 may God be with us all, from now to forever, may we resolve to draw nearer to him always, and we will find safety and comfort in his rest, may we never give up and endure in the doctrine of Christ found in 2 Nephi 31 and 3 Nephi 11, until we rest in the kingdom of Heaven, with Heavenly Father and Christ and our families. πŸ™‚
For this week we just got “C” back, we had to refer her off, but she wanted to come back to us, she is great probably going to wait until 18 but she is converted so that is okay with her, “L” is ready for baptism, hopefully on the 25 or 31 she will be baptized, for sure though one or the other, transfers are on the 27th, and she wants me to baptize her, so hopefully the 25th or hopefully i will stay another transfer, which i hope to because i want to finish my “sons” training,Β  the other “C” dropped us, 😦 but we did all we could, promised them the blessings of eternal marriage, we found some new people though that we will be starting to work with this week!!!! this work is great!! The members are doing well, πŸ™‚ the work will hasten when members and missionaries work in unity, Zion is unity, unity is a celestial requirement.
We did service on saturday and it was a christmas tree pick up, me and my companion got to operate the wood chipper!! it was sooooo fun. we then had Costco pizza after, this was a young mens activity in which they enlisted our help. πŸ™‚Β  At church they combined Juanita and Kirkland 4th wards, but only their second and 3rd hours. so we went to sacrament, then juanita came and joined us for the classes, then we left and they had their sacrament. we also had a very emotional zone meeting, i’ll just leave it at that πŸ™‚ but other than that this is going by really fast, the end of my mission, July 2015 is coming too fast, 😦  I still have 2 years left πŸ™‚
